Daily Tip:
STORMCO!!!!!!!!!
01.26.05 (7:05 pm)   [edit]

Ok, the latest with me is that yesterday was Australia Day (even though I keep on forgetting every 5mins). Had an awesome chat party on line and talked to Kristin, Chris (man, haven't seen them for ages and ages lol), Bec C, Acey, Becky, Brandon, Taylor, and Wallace. It was tons of fun and everyone was exactly how I remembered them - ok, maybe a bit more distrubing then usual but still .... it was fun. We are having another one next Wednesday at 11am (Sydney) so if you didn't get Brandon' email than say so and the link will be send to you :)

Been helping Mum, Nan and Krsitin pack up the flat - they have moved out to Cooranbong now. I no longer have everyone right across the road :( Hopefully I will be about to go up and spend next weekend with them. Fingers crossed. It would seem strange to not go to Cooranbong at all over the Xmas break. I have always visited there at this time of the year. Tell me if you will be around and I may just see ya then. :)

This weekend I can't go up (or down, depending no how you see it) because Kel, Leith , Lisa (another nusing friend) are going on our pre-STORMCO trip. We are driving for 8hrs one way, visitng the paster, staying with elder, checking how the halls and the church and twon and hopefully seeing the council (an hr and half away) and hopefully everything works out well. Fingers crossed :) We won't get there till midnight tonight or later and we won't get back until early morning Saturday. I think I will just sleep the rest of the weekend. Kel is so stressed out about all this. It is so amazing to watch. I have never seen anything like it. :D

More buddy shifts on Monday and thursday - afternoon shift and cleaning. I hope I don't just get one of each because I want to be good at it and have asked all my questions etc. :)

Last night I watched about 3hrs of "important" videos for work. Dude!!!! was I sick of it at hta the end - Infection Control and Manual Handling etc. is only intersting for so long. :D

well I think that is about all the news. Stay safe and hope to hear from you soon,

Sharona

Life at the moment ...
01.23.05 (11:56 am)   [edit]

Ok, well everyone has been living across the road for a while now. You know the whole - I love them here but oh, boy, it is fustrating too. Anyway, I know I will miss them when they go so I am just going to enjoy it, aren't I, Sharona? Yes, Sharona, you are. :D

Ok, well I have got some casual work at Esther Summeville which is good. THey can't promise to throw me tons of work which I guess I can't do anything about. One day I am going to face my fear and actually get employment at the hospital - just have to face some scary people first. Yucko! But I think that as soon as I actually get a foot in the door I will have pleaty of work and experience.

I may also try and get work at the Tarramurra Nursing Home too or around Tarramurra. I was thinking of getting stuff outside the nursing profession but I believe I get paid more for stuff I am qualified in. Duh!! But ah, well, that is just the way I work. :)

On Thursday and Friday a couple of us are going on a pre-STORMCO trip out to our town that we are going to be running STORMCO on in July. Both trips should be fanastic. :)

I HAVE A FRIDGE!!!!!!! AND IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!! :D (Brought it second hand off Leith - oh, that reminds me - I still have to pay for it :D)

Got a few more friends in dorm ... thanks to Avondale connections. Always good. :D

Hee, hee, Kel is most likely going to kill me for this one but Miss Kelly Joy Adams; Student Dean, locked herself out of her room last night. :D She may have had to stay the night in my room but thankfully (for us all) the Dean come and let her in. :) Oh, my, how embarrassing :D

But of course, she got me back ... without even knowing it. One day she had Leith's digital camera and was taking pictures and decided to have a slide show thing of me in different poses. Well, me being the non-poser I am didn't do anything tons exciting but it was still kinda interesting. Anyway, last night while I was out ... Kel showed Leith and Jamine and everyone laughed and stuff. Oh, my goodness, my life is over. Nay, not really. Just feel like being a bit dramatic this morning. :D

I am going for orientation at work today - 9 to 3:30, tomorrow and Wednesday I follow people around on shifts - at strange hours. Tomorrow I have to be there by 6:45AM!!!! Ah, well, I have faced a volcano and cockroaches so I believe I can face this too. :D

Anyway, enough rabble and raving. Stay safe till next time,

Sharona

Chris and Kristin are back!!!!
01.09.05 (4:23 am)   [edit]

Well, I am enjoying life at the moment: my family is just across the road, my friends are in the same building as me and Chris and Kristin are back from USA. WHOO!!!!!

I am feeling mighty fine!!

Oh, and we went to Hillsong tonight - it was different and it had good points and bad points - like everywhere but it was still good. Went to Maccas afterwards and had a great time just hanging - Lucky Leith was surrounded by 5 chicks - Man, what's a boy to do, huh? :)

Getting quite excited about what is coming up in the next couple of months - so many things. :) Ah, the guys want to drag me to an amusement park - good heavens - they had no idea how scared I am. Ah, but on my road trip with my folks to Port Dougalus they informed of many important pieces of advice - one being "Do not let fear control your life". So, I am not. I will conquer amusement parks!!! <insert writer trying to display courage> :)

Hopefully will be having a dinner party with famly and a couple of friends - it should be good. I have a feeling that my parents are going to get all my friends on side and just tease me mercylessly. :(

Well, even though I would like a non-nursing job - I think I will try for the nursing one. It is closer and doesn't require any transport. It will lower costs etc. I think I will try for more of a non-nursing job once I get a car. We will just have to see how my driving and saving goes, huh? :) But thanks for the feed back. :) Much appreciated.

Not much else happening - just trying to juggle everything - like usual. Kel and I are (needing to) get busy organising STORMCO. Ah, it should be so much fun, yet so bloody stressful. I reckon God is really going to have to have a hand in all our activities. It is only with him that this can work. :)

And basically nothing else is up - hope you are well and enjoying your holidays or whatever you are now up to. God bless,

Sharona

Hi everyone
01.05.05 (6:15 pm)   [edit]

Well, Happy New Year!!

I know, I know, bit late, huh? And I don't even have a good excuse. Sorry is all she said.

Well, I didn't do anything for new year's. Went to bed - not much you can do when you are in a small country town and everyone you live with goes to bed around 10pm. But, yeah, it was still nice.

Got back from QLD the other day. My folks and nan are now staying across the street from me (which is very cool). Chris and Kristin get back from a long visit in the USA.

I need to start work soon. I should try and get work at a nearby nursing home but I just don't know. I mean, nursing is fine but i do like variety. I am thinking of trying to get work at Boarders Bookshop or another kind of shop in Hornsby. I just don't know. To my folks it sounds a bit dogdy that i am doing nursing course yet don't really want to do nursing jobs. What do you think?

Anyway, hope you are having a fanastic holiday. Miss you greatly,

Sharona
