Daily Tip:
My life to date...
02.28.05 (7:55 pm)   [edit]

Howdy all,

Well, college in back in full flight. I am enjoying it even if some of hte lectures are so very boring. :)

Going to Melbourne soon which is very exciting. Just have to pack, organise stuff for it and buy a wedding prestent. Oh, now that is going to be interesting.

Went to Avondale which was good. It was nice to get away and relaz and just chill. I don't know, maybe it was because there were so many new (and oh, so very young) faces there I didn't have this undying urge to socialise. I just kinda hung out with a few people on and off. I am sure that I wasn't as entertaining as I could be but I got back feeling quite rested which is great :D

Went to Brisbane a week ago and spent five days there with Kel, Yolanda and Leith. It was fanastic - all except when they cancelled our flight and we had to stay an extra night and miss even more from uni and have to find out our accomodation etc. Um, but we did get to meet tons new people and we got to meet Kel's family and friends, and Yolanda's uncle (who insisted on teasing me and Kel tons for being vegetarian - DUDE!!! Ah, but it was fun). And we got to got to WET N WILD!!!! Madness. I was so scared about going but I am so glad we went. See, I don't do amusement parks ever so I was a bit nervous and scared but I am so proud of the fact I went on every ride that everyone else went on - even the Double Screamer which is so scary and I was made a bit of a scene about (embrassing but oh well). I even had my own stalker as this same guy who was operating the rides kept popping up places. He remembered me from the Double Screamer and my little scene and then we saw him at the Deep Pluge and then again at the Twister. Strange!! Ah, well, it was fun :D

Um, what else has been happening ... well, work is well. I love cleaning the flat of this old couple. THey are really sweet and nice and we have good chats (after I have finished working, of course - cough, cough :D) and I got my clinical timetable so I know when I can get more work etc. :D Always good.

Oh, I had a breakthrough the other day. I know what I am going to do; you know when I graduate. I am going to do my new grad program fro a year, work as a nurse for a couple more years, then go back to Avondale and study International Studies and then either work for ADRA or another organisation which makes people get out of the cycle of poverty. :D I am glad that I have finally decided. And as Leith says; that's intense but good. :D

Hopefully be going to a 70s club in a couple of weeks time. Oh, so exciting. :D Never been to a club before. I am not too sure I will go tons and tons but I think I can enjoy it. :D

Kel is going in for her next operation soon. Please keep her in your prayers. Thank you. :D

Catch ya next time,

Sharona

My life to date...
02.12.05 (6:47 pm)   [edit]

Well, it has been ages since Australia Day. So much has been happening. Let's think about it....

Um, well, my folks flew back home to PNG so it will be another 7 months till I see them again. Man, it was good to have them so close. I do miss them. :(

Work at the Nursing Home is really good. They call me for work a lot. I am really enjoying it ... even if it takes me a while to do stuff due to the fact I am still learning the residents etc. I have regular work cleaning an old couples' flat - only 2hrs a fortnight but at least I know I will get it and they are really really nice.

When I get a free minute I will apply for work at the SAH and the SAH pharmacy. AH, I want as much work as possible. :)

STORMCO is going really well. Kel and I did a improtu presentation at the first AYs program at Wahroonga church the other day and 12 more people are interested. Ah, this means around 40 people are interested so far. And we still haven't really advertised in the School of Nursing. Ah, there may have to be two trips or our numbers will have to drop. But wahtever happens, I know that God has the perfect team in place for us. :D

Oh, I am going to Melbourne in a couple of weeks time. Still don't know how I am getting there. Hopefully, Kristin and Chris come too. It is my cousin's wedding. Ah, hopefully it goes well. She is marrying a really nice guy.  I remember he came to my 18th birthday party and man, good on him since he barely knew anyone except my cousin. He did well. :D If you know anyone who is heading down to Melbourne in the first weekend of March can you let me know, pls?

May is going to be so crazy. I have tons and tons of assignments and tutorials due then but I pray it will go well. It will work out, I am sure. :D I even have a tutorial on Sexually Transmitted Diseases which should be tons of fun :) AH, we got to watch baby being born the other day ... on video. But, later this semester we get to see the real thing. Cool, huh?

Yolanda got her braces off and looks so good. Clover got her braces on and is in a lot of pain. :(

College starts in a couple of weeks. How exciting. My friend, Kelly Price from Melbourn will be coming up for nursing. How cool is that? Pls make her feel welcome. :D

We learn how to remove sultures and staples the other day in lab. Pretty cool stuff. :)

Everyone here is well. Kel, Kylie Anne, Melody, Leith, Jamie, Yolanda - all seem well but busy and wondering how they are going to do all their assignments etc. All, except Melody who just gets paid to hang with friends. Man, I want her kinda job. :)

Does anyone know when there is going to be another chat pary? They were fun. :D

Anyway, hope you are all going well. Sorry I haven't posted in ages. See ya soon, hopefully,

Sharona

MY SOUL!!!!
02.07.05 (11:40 pm)   [edit]

You Are a Bright Star Soul

Like a shining star, you have no trouble being the center of attention
In fact, you often feel a bit hurt when all eyes aren't on you
You need to be number one in everything, no matter how trivial
And it's this ego that both hurts your confidence and helps you acheive

You're dramatic and a powerhouse of pure energy
You posess a divine quality or uniqueness that's hard to define
A natural performer, it's likely you'll become famous in some circles.
Just learn not to take everyone's reaction to you so personally!

Souls you are most compatible with: Newborn Soul and Prophet Soul
